Kaitlin Miller: A Story of Passion, Purpose and Pickleball

Dink Authority Editorial Board

From college athlete to sports journalist, from Nashville red carpets to pickleball courts across America — Kaitlin Miller didn't just find her passion. She built a career around it, a community inside it, and a mission that goes far beyond the game.

Some people don't just live their passion — they turn it into a movement. Into community. Into something far greater than themselves. Kaitlin Miller is one of those people.
Watch her on a pickleball court with a microphone in hand, capturing the energy of a tournament, connecting with players of every level, and you might think she always knew she'd end up here. But the truth is more interesting than that. The truth is that Kaitlin arrived at pickleball through an entire life of movement, ambition, and the quiet determination of someone who knows she has something to give — and doesn't rest until she finds a way to give it.

The Athlete Was Always There
For as long as she can remember, Kaitlin has been an athlete. Not the casual kind — the kind who trains, competes, loses, learns, and comes back stronger. Through high school she embraced sport with an intensity few possess at that age, talented enough to earn athletic scholarships at the university level, where she competed at an elite standard and forged the mindset that today defines everything she does.
But Kaitlin was never just an athlete. She always had something more — a voice, a curiosity, a need to tell stories. And when she discovered sports journalism, something clicked. Not as an unexpected turn, but as the piece that completed the picture.

From Locker Rooms to Red Carpets
Her career took her from North Carolina to Nashville, Tennessee — and with that move came an entirely new world. NFL Draft cameras. Red carpets with country music stars. The hallways of major sports facilities, franchise teams, and residential communities across the country.
As a freelance contributor for Pickleball Channel and the US Open Pickleball Championships, Kaitlin developed a unique eye: that of someone who understands sport from the inside and knows how to make others feel it from the outside. Her coverage isn't just reporting — it's a window into the soul of a sport in the middle of a global explosion.
But what sets her apart isn't only what she does in front of the camera. It's what she builds away from it.

Court Kings: Building Community, One Court at a Time
Not long ago, Kaitlin made one of the boldest decisions of her career: stepping into the entrepreneurial world. Today she serves as Head of Business Development at Court Kings, a startup redefining how pickleball courts are built, managed, and connected across the country — from top-tier sports facilities to residential communities.
For Kaitlin, Court Kings isn't just a job. It's the natural extension of what she has always believed: that pickleball has the power to bring people together, to create real community, to give people a place where they truly belong.
And she is right at the center of that mission.

The Voice Pickleball Needed
Alongside her work with Court Kings, Kaitlin hosts Kitchen Talk: Pickleball Edition, a podcast where the sport's stories come alive in a different way. Not cold statistics or tactical breakdowns — but genuine conversations with the people who make this sport great. Players, coaches, promoters, enthusiasts. The real people behind the game.
Her ability to connect — to make someone open up in front of a microphone and tell their real story — is a talent no journalism school teaches. It's something Kaitlin built over years of listening, of asking the right questions, of genuinely caring about what the other person has to say.
In a sport growing at record speed, that voice matters more than it might seem.

Coaching, Community and the Next Generation
Certified as an IPTPA Level 2 coach, Kaitlin doesn't just talk about the sport — she teaches it. And she does so with a special conviction when it comes to younger players.
She actively volunteers with Pickleball Kids USA and the Tennessee Junior Pickleball Association, organizations dedicated to making the sport accessible to children and young people from all backgrounds. For Kaitlin, this isn't image philanthropy — it's the part of the work that matters most to her. Because she understands, with the clarity of someone who lived it, what sport can do for a kid who needs a place to shine.
Her goal is as simple as it is ambitious: grow the sport. Build the brand. Create real impact. And make sure the next generation has access to all of it.

Naples: The Next Chapter
Today, Kaitlin has her eyes set on Naples, Florida — one of the most vibrant pickleball epicenters in the world. With her energy, her network, and her entrepreneurial vision, what comes next for her is as exciting as everything she has already built.
Kaitlin Miller didn't find pickleball by accident. She found it because her entire life was preparing her for it. And now that she's found it, she has absolutely no intention of letting go.

"See you on the courts."
