Cinamon Vega: The Energy That's Contagious
Cinamon Vega: The Energy That's Contagious
Some stories start just like everyone else's: someone invites you to play "just once," and that once never really ends. That's how pickleball entered Cinamon Vega's life — and she hasn't stopped since.
Cinamon works alongside her mother in their family business, an institutional cleaning company with active contracts with companies and banks across much of Florida — the kind of work that demands discipline, consistency, and dealing with people, every single day. That same energy is what she brought with her the day she discovered pickleball not long ago, and got, just like so many of us, completely hooked.
Today she takes lessons twice a week and plays almost daily, rotating between different South Florida communities — the kind of commitment that separates someone who tries the sport once from someone who turns it into part of their routine.

From Follower to Reporter
Our social media manager, Sofia, had been following the content Cinamon posted daily for a while, until Cinamon herself wrote in through our platform's "El Reportero Eres Tú" ("You Are the Reporter") community section. We immediately liked her energy and how naturally she carries herself on camera — something not everyone has, and something she seems to do effortlessly.
We asked her to cover the JOOLA Festival at Gaylord Palms, and she didn't hesitate for a second to say yes. The result speaks for itself: she ended up interviewing Gordon Kaye, JOOLA's Chief Experience Officer, and Eric Decker, former NFL player and now part of the brand's athlete roster — two conversations any experienced reporter would envy, pulled off by someone who was just getting started.
But what stood out most during those days wasn't just those two big interviews — it was her ability to move through the entire event without slowing down. Cinamon was active from start to finish, connecting not only with the JOOLA team but with dozens of amateur players also in attendance: photos, laughs, spontaneous conversations, new connections in every corner of the venue. That same natural talent for making anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera is, probably, what sets her apart most.
Why We're Featuring Her
Cinamon represents exactly the kind of story we want to keep telling at DINK Authority: everyday people who fall in love with this sport and, without setting out to, become active parts of its community. She didn't show up chasing cameras or spotlights — she showed up looking to play. Everything else just happened.
She's the kind of player who reminds everyone watching that pickleball isn't only about rankings or tournaments — it's also about this: genuine energy, wanting to be on the court every single day, and a natural ability to make others catch that same energy.
Officially welcome to the pages of DINK Authority, Cinamon. This is just the beginning.
