Jay Devilliers in Louisville: Silver, Bronze and a Hunger for Gold That Won’t Quit

Two medals, two battle partners and big news off the court. Jay Devilliers made his mark at the inaugural Humana APP Louisville Open, and before leaving he sat down with DINK Authority for a quick Face to Face chat.

Some players are happy just to reach the podium. Jay Devilliers isn’t one of them.

Louisville gave him two medals at a single tournament, silver and bronze, at the inaugural Humana APP Louisville Open. Anyone else would be celebrating. Jay left Kentucky thinking about the one thing he didn’t get.

“No gold but silver and bronze thanks to my teammates,” he wrote. “Now, it’s time to keep grinding and getting better to chase that gold!”

That’s the mindset of a true competitor.

Silver In Mixed, Alongside Our Cover Star

In pro mixed doubles, Jay teamed up with Domenika Turkovic, our October cover star and one of the standouts of the week in Louisville. Together they battled point after point all the way to the final and earned the silver medal.

Domenika was on fire. The APP itself headlined its recap “Munro & Turkovic Shine Again.” With Jay by her side, the duo was a headache for everyone.

Bronze In Doubles With Tanner Tomassi

In pro men’s doubles, Jay partnered with Tanner Tomassi, and the chemistry showed from the first match. They finished third, a bronze the APP celebrated on social media: “Great run for Tanner Tomassi & Jay Devilliers.”

Two divisions, two podiums and two partners Jay made sure to credit: “Thanks to my teammates for the battles!”

Face To Face: The Chat With Connie

In the middle of the action at the Kentucky International Convention Center, Jay took a few minutes with Connie Ishii for a short interview on Face to Face, our conversation series with the stars of pickleball.

Off The Court: The Academy Is Born

“Helping amateurs, pros, and juniors level up their game is something I’m incredibly passionate about,” he said.

Next Stop: Arizona

The silver and bronze are packed. Now Jay sets his sights on APP Arizona with just one goal in mind.

Louisville gave him two medals. Arizona could give him the one that’s missing.
