Pickleball Takes Over Louisville: Everything You Need to Know About the Humana APP Louisville Open

Four days of elite pickleball, a winning streak that could reach seven, a historic record within reach and a free Shaggy concert. The APP Tour arrives in the home of the Kentucky Derby.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Louisville knows big stages. It’s the city of the Kentucky Derby, of passionate college basketball traditions and fierce sporting pride. Starting today, Thursday, Oct. 15, and running through Sunday, Oct. 18, it writes a new chapter: the 2026 Humana APP Louisville Open, featuring the best players on tour.

Hundreds of players from around the world are heading to the Kentucky International Convention Center. The field includes the sport’s elite professionals, the AARP Champions (50+) and AARP Masters (60+) divisions, the return of the Humana Cup, and amateurs of all ages and skill levels. All of them will compete for ranking points, prize money and hardware at an event that will air nationally on ESPN2 and CBS Sports Network.

And the action isn’t limited to the courts. On Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17, just outside the convention center, PickleY’all takes over: a community festival celebrating all things pickleball. Its headline attraction is a free Shaggy concert on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. It’s the perfect plan: watch the pros battle for gold, then kick off your Saturday night with Shaggy.

Who will rise to the top in Louisville? Here are the storylines to follow.

Six Straight, and Going for Seven?

Jack Munro and Richard Livornese Jr. arrive on an impressive run: six consecutive men’s pro doubles titles this season. The latest came in Columbus against Jay Devilliers and Tanner Tomassi. With that win, Munro collected his eighth gold of 2026 and Livornese his seventh. Will they make it seven straight in Louisville?

Munro also won mixed doubles gold in Columbus alongside Jill Braverman. With eight golds, he leads all APP Tour pros in 2026.

Megan Fudge, One Step From History

By winning the women’s pro doubles title in Overland Park with Kat Stewart, Megan Fudge tied Simone Jardim’s record for the most career women’s pro gold medals in APP Tour history: 33. In Columbus, she and Aidan Schenk fell just short in the mixed doubles final. That silver pushed her record-holding career medal total to 95. In Louisville, she could claim the gold medal record all for herself.

Domenika Turkovic: The First of Many

Croatia’s Domenika Turkovic, DINK Authority’s October cover star, broke through in Columbus. She defeated Jessica Evanier in the women’s pro singles final to win her first career APP Tour gold, and she also took silver in women’s doubles alongside Glauka Carvajal-Lane. She arrives in Louisville with her confidence sky-high.

On the men’s side, Tristan Dussault also celebrated his first APP Tour men’s singles gold after a hard-fought final against Dusty Boyer.

Kat Stewart Never Rests

Katerina Stewart’s 2026 is still on fire. A few weeks ago in Overland Park, she won two more golds: women’s singles, her fourth title of the year in that discipline, and her first women’s doubles gold of the season alongside Megan Fudge. She now has seven golds, three more than any other APP women’s pro.

International Stars Shine

The APP Tour’s international talent made its mark in Columbus. France’s Jay Devilliers took silver in men’s doubles with Tanner Tomassi, and Vietnam’s Quang Duong earned his second medal of the season, a men’s doubles bronze with Aidan Schenk. Dutch star Roos Van Reek and Vivian Glozman, the women’s doubles champions from the Chicago event in August, also return to action in Louisville.

Bates and Maddox: A Partnership That Works

Shelby Bates and Christine Maddox won their second women’s pro doubles title of the season, beating Glauka Carvajal-Lane and Domenika Turkovic in the Columbus final. They had previously taken bronze in Overland Park, giving them three straight events on the podium.

Ronan Camron Reigns

Ronan Camron earned bronze in men’s singles in Columbus, his eighth medal of 2026. That ties him for third among all pros on tour, and he remains the No. 1-ranked men’s singles player in the APP Tour U.S. Rankings.

Bobbi Oshiro Is Hunting Gold

Bobbi Oshiro enters Louisville with eight medals in 2026, tied for third on tour. She is still chasing her first gold of the year, and she’s coming to get it.

Jessica Evanier Back on the Podium

Jessica Evanier made her first Championship Sunday appearance since 2023 and took silver in women’s singles in Columbus. A comeback that deserves applause.
