We Believe in Stories That Inspire

Some players step onto the court with just a paddle and little else. But there are others who arrive carrying history, purpose, and fire in their eyes. Carolina Mayorga-Perry is one of the latter.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, and now living between Kansas City and her hometown, Carolina travels constantly between two worlds: the competitive pickleball scene in the United States and her growing role as a sports ambassador helping expand the sport across Latin America.

Her life moves between airports, training sessions, clinics, tournaments, and dreams that never stop growing.

Before ever picking up a pickleball paddle, Carolina was already deeply immersed in tennis. She played collegiate tennis in the United States, where she developed not only a high-performance athletic base but also a strong leadership identity.

Later, she took on the challenge of leading the men's and women's tennis programs at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, where she left her mark as a coach, mentor, and manager. That phase of her career—defined by strategy, character-building, and competitive rigor—became the foundation for her transition into professional pickleball.

When Carolina decided to make the leap into the professional circuit, she didn't arrive by accident. She prepared herself.

She immersed herself in the sport’s ecosystem, competing in APP Tour events, APP Team competitions, and tournaments organized by the APP, Dink Authority, Cayman Islands Open, Sacramento Open, PPA Mesa Cup, and many others.

Today, her DUPR rating hovers around 5.45, a number that in the professional world is earned through sweat, discipline, and hundreds of hours on the court.

Tactical Intelligence on the Court

Today, Carolina is part of the JOOLA Pickleball team, one of the most powerful brands on the professional circuit.

Her playing style reflects her tennis background: tactical precision, explosive net play, and the ability to read opponents in real time. Carolina isn’t the type of player who relies purely on power. Instead, she approaches the game strategically.

She thinks through every point.

In a sport that is becoming increasingly physical and technical, that intelligence on the court makes her a formidable competitor.

Ambassador of Pickleball in Latin America

Beyond results and rankings, Carolina is widely recognized for her commitment to the community.

She frequently organizes clinics, training sessions, and meet-ups with players across the United States and Colombia. Through these initiatives, she is actively contributing to the development of pickleball in Latin America—not only as an athlete but also as a leader and advocate for the sport.

On social media, Carolina regularly shares training routines, technical tips, and insights into her life as a professional athlete. Her presence reflects the identity of a bicultural competitor who moves comfortably between Spanish and English while representing both cultures with pride.

More Than a Player

Among fellow professionals and competitors, Carolina is respected not only for her athletic ability but also for her discipline, work ethic, and humility.

For her, every match represents something bigger than a scoreline.

She carries the responsibility of representing a country, a region, and a growing generation of Latin American players who are beginning to see pickleball as a real professional pathway.

At Dink Authority Magazine, we believe in stories that inspire.

And Carolina Mayorga-Perry’s story does exactly that: a woman navigating two cultures, two cities, and one shared passion—the court.

Her message resonates across the sport:

Latin talent no longer needs permission to belong.
It’s here. And it’s here to stay.
